It feels like GifCam/ScreenToGif is better for me since there are more options. feels like I should be able to do since I'm willing to sacrifice quality, but so far. LICEcap for Mac allows you to capture areas of your desktop with a click and then save the frames as either GIF or LCF files. lots of different export presets and preview to see what those presets will look like (as well as filesize). It’s available via web or as a standalone client. I simply run Manipulate as is, and record it from the screen. For advanced note-taking and collaboration of documentation, I use Notion. actually what I do to make animated gif files from Manipulate is simply use LICEcap (free). Scroll down to the Download section and select LICEcap for macOS which features Apple Silicon native support. has an awesome 'Always On Top' windows feature which all the others lack. For animated gif screen captures, I use LICEcap by Cockos, Inc. you hit 'record', then it prompts for filename, then gives you a countdown to recording Here's my first impression reviews of these 3 apps. ![]()
